Help me! Please!!

I am looking into earning my nursing degree through Moore and istudysmart.com. I want a flexible program so that I can go at my own pace and on my own time. It seems that these types of programs offer that but are they for real. I live in Kentucky and I am a little scared to spend all this money on this program and in the end not have job. Does anyone know anyone that has gotten their nursing degree through a publishing company? And if so, are they successful? Are the test that hard if you really study for them? Would I be crazy to get involved with this? Please help and give me your honest answers?

RE: Help me! Please!!

I'm taking the course rt now for my RN. I have been in the health care field for about 19yr as a paramedic. I know personaly 5 people whom have went this route for their RN. The only thing I warn you of is purchasing the course and not putting the time in. You have to make your self study. Further, you have to put a little time into getting information on taking test, where to enroll. Its a cheaper route if (If) u have good stuy skills. If u are not that disiplend in studying or have been out of school for awhile I would recommend going to your local community college and taking a few of your GE courses just to get back into the swing of studying.

RE: Help me! Please!!

That is a good question ... I am just beginning so I would be interested in a "veterans" input. But, I thought even though we are paying for the course through istudysmart, we still have to pay for the exam with Excelsior?? Am I incorrect on this?

You pay Excelsior College to take the examination; istudysmart provides study materials to prepare you to PASS the exams.
