I don't have any advise on N.C. two, but did you check Chipkalee site? Look at the practice test for Commonalities B. I hear they are similar. Can you please email me with tips on N. Concepts one? Becky

RE: Nursing Concepts 2

I did not have to take Nursing Concepts 1, I was a senior in a BSN program and dismissed due to a temporary visual problem in a clinical. The traditional programs are very intimidating. I did take Concepts 2 without studying and got a D. The 541 questions are exactly what I was asked on the test. Application and exactly from the Kozier book which my program stressed critical thinking and we did not use Kozier. It is best to get a dedicated partner and split the questions and you will pass. I will look out for you with Nursing Concepts 2 which I plan to take the end or March or the first week in April

I took Nsg Con2 and I had failed but I notice that everyone is talking about 600questions 541
questions. Are these questions that istudysmart
provides. I would like to know is istudysmart a test question company or just what is it. I am
restudying nsg con2 right now. But I have notes
from the study group. So what i want to know is
how is istudysmart different. StarS.

Hi. My name is John and I am thinking about entering the ADN progam here but it sounds to good to be true and will my state of Wisconsin except these such credits for licensing. If you have any advice or could share your story with me that would be tremendous. Look forward to hearing from you. My email is Realestateway@cs.com

RE: Nursing Concepts 2

I study smart prepares you to pass an exam for Excelsior college. Instead of being in class, you test out. I study smart does a profile on you to see which classes you need. You purchase pre recs or depending what level you are at, classes like N. Concepts 1-2-3-4-5 (N. Concepts one and two can be done with I study smart) and the prerecs. They let you know. You get an assignment, and practice exams. Then you test with a Regents Form. You have to have a C or better. After finishing exams you do a weekend clinical. Then state board. It is for real. You study at your own pace. But, they do make changes. Becky

My e-mail is scriv@cybrzn.com
I too am looking into the ADN program. I also live in Wisconsin.
The program seems too good to be true. I've been an LPN for 25 years and I am taking a refresher course right now. I want to finish my RN now and the program at the local tech school is going to take a year to year and a half. I'd love any feed back you might get.
Thanks
Deb

Did you ever find out what people were talking about as far as the questions? I failed nursing concepts 2 as well. Where are you now? Maybe we can help each other out. Please email me at lisaoldham@mindspring.com

Thanks!

RE: Nursing Concepts 2

The 541 questions they are referring to are from the study guide published by Moore Educational Publishers (iStudySmart.com).

Becky,

Pay close attention to the therapeutic communications section and the learning and teahing sections. Also, remember to study drug calculations and I.V. drip rates. The rest of the test was straight foward but somewhat subjective. I hope this helps.

If you are an LPN and have graduated from an NLN accredited institution within the last five years with a "B" average, you can be exempt from taking Nursing Concepts 2.

I am interested in buying smartclub including concept 2. But when Moore counselor evaluates my credit, she didn't mention about this. They just recommended that I need to take microbiology and 7 nursing courses. Where can I find the information about what you said?

contact Excelsior College at 'www.excelsior.edu'. They do state that if you have graduated within the last 5 years with a B or higher average you can be exempt from NC2.

RE: chipkalee

I've been trying chipkalee myself for a week and also had no luck. Would like to know if anyone knows if the site is no longer active or if there's some special way to access it other than typing in www.chipkalee.com. Thanks

Are you referring to the questions on the sample test of the assignment questions?

I DONT KNOW IF THIS HELPS BUT I HAVE BEEN AN LPN FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS AND I AM OVER HALF DONE. IT IS FOR REAL IF YOU ARE SERIOUS. ITS A GREAT PROGRAM THAT WILL LAUNCH ME BACK INTO TRAVEL NURSING AT A MUCH HIGHER RATE OF PAY
