Paramedics problems finding RN jobs

I live in Louisiana and would have to work in
Mississippi and take MS. state boards. How hard
is it for Paramedics to get nursing jobs following
this educational route. Are we not considered
real nurses. Please leave feedback.

RE: Paramedics problems finding RN jobs

I just met a woman who has beena medic for 13 years. She is considered a "real" nurse as she has passed her state boards. She is working as an ER nurse

I also live in louisiana and was told that you have to go work out of state for a determined amount of time then you can set the boards in louisiana.

RE: Paramedics problems finding RN jobs

I'm a medic in Ohio and each state board of nursing has dirrerent rules. In Ohio this program is approved for nursing liscense after completing and passing the state boards. Check with your state board of nursing.
