The subscription program is actually cheaper than going directly through excelsior. Also, I started using the Excelsior study guides only. The istudysmart study guides have an incredible amount of depth. I think I know the material better using themm. Just my opinion.

RE: Why do we need istudysmart

I'm a medic and have not yet applied to Excelsior. I have, though, received their first two study guides for concepts I and II. So how does this all work? Do I still register with Excelsior and just use istudysmart study material? I also need all the help I can get. On top of that, I'm a reservist. Can I still go to a military base and test for free?
Thanks in advance!

RE: Why do we need istudysmart

You do need to register to take the Excelsior College Exams (ECEs) with Excelsior, but you don't really have to enroll as a student until you've finished any general education courses and even NC1 and 2. The credit and the degree is granted by Excelsior College, but IStudySmart prepares you to pass the exams with detailed study guides. I do believe you are able to take your exams for no charge. Also, military students pay lesser fees for enrollment to Excelsior.
