I am working on the Microbiology onlince course and I was totally overwhelmed. The online course doesn't seem to be much help. I wasn't learning anything. It may be good as a guide for studying but I had to break away and do it my own way.

hi i am getting ready to start some online classes and micro was to be my first, but i've read several testimonials and they are not very encouraging about doing it online. i have a micro book and an outline from another provider that one of my friends dropped and i'm wondering if i would be better off to just study it on my own. what kind of system are you using to select info to study. it all seems so overwhelming...thanks

hello to all currently studying the microbiology course:
i just took the test last wednesday and made an "A" even though i was expecting a "B". i felt i was pretty well prepared by studying the on-line course and using the other study methods. i used the cd that came with the book to take practice quizzes as well as the web site's quizzes. if you use the quizzes, it will pretty much tell you where you are weak and you can review accordingly.
if my experience is any indicator, you will do better than you think you will on the test. good luck! please email me if you need help.

This website is pretty good.

I also made and "A" after eventually scrapping everything and going strictly by the outline in the Excelsior free content guide. I made notes on the material I thought was important and studied those notes for ONE week then I took the exam. I went in expecting to fail and making an A. Just FYI, the practice questions in the Free content guide by Excelsior are an example of the most difficult ones on the test. I was surprised how easy the wuestions were once my exam started.
