Hi. I'm a LPN and would like to further my education. I do not have time to go back to our local college. I work two jobs as it is. I don't know where or how to start with this program. Please reply with details about what I will have to have to begin this program. I went to a vocational school to receive my practical nursing diploma and I think I only have an A&P; credit.

RE: Searching

Debbie, Did you do your evaluation? That is first. After your eval, you purchase a class, order book or books, and they download your class which I assume they have done already since you are in the forum. Start with your first class and do the assignment first. It will tell you where in your books your answer will be. After typing in answer, save it, copy it, for study reference. After you have submitted all your assignment, you do your practice test till comfortable, then do your exam. If you pass, you go to the learning center, (Mine will be Sylvan) the nearest, and take your exam. I beleive they are about $140. Also, Excelsior has study guides you can get free to study for the exam. I hear Chancellor's has a condensed version of the study guides which has just only what you need to study for the exam. They are around $250. ea. Expensive, but I am trying to locate some to save buying the extra 3-4 books and then trying the exam. Hope this helps. I am on Nursing Concepts 1 now. Hope to get through all the assignment so I can study for the exam soon. Best of luck. Does this help you any? Feel free to mail me and maybe I can help. Becky

RE: Searching

I want to know if I take these classes and complete them and pass the testing, will I be eligible to take boards and be a registered nurse in the state of MO. How long do you think it will take me to complete all the courses that I have to take if I do this in my spare time. I have two jobs and my time will be limited. I guess what I am asking is approximately how long for each course? Please reply
