Corporate Education Solutions Offers Courses On CD-ROM

Nashville, Tennessee, February 7, 2003, the premier source for Credit-by-Examination learning programs on the Internet, announced today that it will offer all of its distance learning courses on CD-ROM. Currently, the company offers over 80 credit-by-examination courses via the Internet and printed workbooks.

“We’re pleased to offer this additional format for our users,” said Dwight Pittman, Chief Operating Officer for “We listened to what our students wanted and are happy to provide one more pathway for self-paced study. Our students can now choose from three formats when they’re ready to earn college credit.”

Students of all ages use credit by examination programs, such as the CLEP, DSST (used by DANTES) and ECE exams, to earn college credit from accredited institutions for knowledge gained outside the classroom. Educators nationwide recognize credit-by-examination programs as a cost-efficient means of completing a college program while providing universities with a reliable means of testing competency before awarding credit.

Since 1986 the company has offered printed study courses that help a student learn a complete semester’s worth of information. In 2020, the company launched its website,, and began offering courses via the Internet. Now the company offers the same study courses via CD-ROM software.

“More people than ever turn to distance learning to complete a degree,” says Dwight Pittman, Chief Operating Officer of “State colleges are raising tuition rates forcing students to find ways of saving money. Students can study at their own pace with our software for a fraction of the normal cost.”

Once a student has completed the assignments for a given course, he can test his knowledge with sample exams designed to simulate the actual final exam. Exams are administered locally through college testing centers or Sylvan/DSST testing companies. Today, over 3800 colleges and universities nationwide grant credit for acceptable credit-by-examination scores.

Says Pittman, “Not every student has the resources or desire to complete a traditional college curriculum. Our program caters to those working adults, to those military personnel, and to the college students who want to graduate quicker or stick to a budget.”
